SEC Steps into the Fight Aainst the Spead of COVID-19.

According to Southeastern Container's CEO Doug Wehrkamp, what started as an internal discussion on how SEC could assist our Coca-Cola Bottlers with hand sanitizer bottles for their internal needs, led to talking with the team at Dogwood Health about how we could help.

Our Enka, NC based packaging engineers were able to utilize an old set of production molds and fit them in our lab blow molding machine to produce a 22oz bottle. The engineering team (pictured) worked much of the weekend preparing the machine for production. We hope to ship 30,000 containers by the middle of the week.

Rachel Joseph, our Director of Engineering leads the efforts and is now exploring options for a smaller 2oz container as we continue to receive inquiries from companies and non-profits up and down the east coast.

Says Doug, “We are glad to help and truly hope we can do our part to help combat this horrible virus as quickly as possible”.
