Rachel Joseph

Director of Engineering & Technical Services


Rachel Joseph was promoted to Director of Engineering and Technical Services in 2018, taking on responsibility for all corporate Engineering and Technical Services activities.  Rachel joined SEC as Plant Project Engineer for the Bowling Green, Ohio facility in 2005.  Since then she has filled roles as both a Project Engineer and the Manager for the corporate Product Development Group, Operations and Customer Service Manager for our Kings Mountain facility and went on to establish and lead the Technical Services Group as Technical Services Manager before moving up to her current role.


Rachel came to SEC with a BS in Chemical Engineering and a Minor in Chemistry from the University of Toledo.   She obtained an MBA from Bowling Green State University while working at our Bowling Green plant.  Rachel went on to earn her Master in Engineering from North Carolina State University after relocating to North Carolina with SEC in 2008. While attending NCSU, Rachel also became a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt.


Near to her heart, Rachel has made it a priority to support the special needs communities over the years.  Most recently, she served the board positions of Treasurer, President and then Advisor for The Junior Welfare Club of Henderson County and is now an alumnus of the organization.   An avid distance runner, you’ll often find Rachel participating in local 10K and half marathon races supporting local schools, charities and other service organizations.


Rachel and her husband Mike were married in 2006 and relish spending family time with their three small children.  Some of their favorite activities include boating, waterskiing, hiking and exploring the outdoors of Western North Carolina.  Rachel is known around the office for squeezing in a lunchtime trail run or hike from time to time, enjoying the local beauty and fresh mountain air at the nearby North Carolina Arboretum.

Rachel’s favorite Coke products are Coke Zero Sugar and DaSani Sparkling Lime.
